All packages include Social Security notification, completion of death certificate and submission to the State, all necessary authorizations and permits, and submission of free newspaper obituaries. Services of the Funeral Home such as cremation and embalming are all done in Kailua Kona. We're your home town funeral home.
Traditional Funeral Service
This traditional type package includes a funeral service at your church or location of choice. We embalm, dress and prepare the body for viewing. There can be either a private or public viewing. It also includes a Memorial Package of memorial service folders, thank you cards and matching register book. We have many to choose from and we do all the printing for you. We have many caskets for you to choose from in a variety of price ranges. We can also include a graveside service or can conclude the services at the church. Or if you prefer we can do the service only at the graveside.
Burial at Sea (full body)
We offer full body burial at sea. Our services include all transportation and boat fees with room for up to 10 family members or friends to be present for burial. You may choose casket or shroud encasement, with traditional services before on land if desired. We make all the arrangements and comply with required rules and laws. For veterans, you may have a military honors send off.
Bringing a loved one from Oahu to Kona
If your loved one passes away on Oahu and you want them to be brought back to Hawaii for funeral services or burial, A Hui Hou staff can facilitate this for you. Other island locations may also be available. This can be a substantial cost savings for the family and the advantage of one location taking care of all the details for you.
Immediate Burial/Shipping
We also offer our services for care of the deceased when no funeral service is desired, or when the family is gathering elsewhere. We make all the arrangements for burial or shipping and complete the paperwork for you.
